Cutcableguy.com is a personal website/blog on our journey to getting ourselves out of using cableTV, “not that there’s anything wrong with that“. With a lot of streaming services, online shows, apps, social media and other sources of information the TV industry in my opinion is changing it and the way we consume these services change as well.
And these changes should also change the way we pay and access these information. Consumers are now being asked to follow personalities, organizations and initiatives. Which gives new meanings to followers and subscribers which I think cable companies and TV stations should start and are starting to embrace with the rise of TV channel, movie outfit streaming services such as Peacock, CBSNow to name a few.
The idea about this this site was to share our journey to “cut the cable Guy” in which case getting a new relationship with the streaming guys, tech guys and different guy’s and gals.
Cutcableguy is based in the United States so the experiences and examples would mostly be based on the services in the United States. But I also came originally from the Philippines , so I have an understanding about immigrants who have a want and desire to find out where they can find and what shows or movies from our country of origin. Save as finding recipes for food we grew up with, finding shows and movies from our country of origins are common in immigrant community. In short Food and entertainment unites us.
Cutcableguy will also feature some shows and news that I found to be interesting and noteworthy. In a sense , cutcableguy is not only focused on cutting the cable so to speak but also be for to those shows and news that would be available to us once we “Cut the Cable Guy“.
