Oh yeah, I finally did it, after so many years, it just doesn’t work any more. I finally “Cut the Cable Guy”, I finally “Cut the Cord”.

Below is my “Cutting the Cable Guy” Letter , If I’ve written one.

Dear CableGuy,

It’s not you, It’s me. I just realized that after all these years, that our relationship is not healthy anymore.

At one point in my life, I was convinced that we are meant for each other, and I could not get enough of you. You always challenged me far more than I could watch , and I was good for it. I still remember that night we stayed up all night and you were showing me those things that’s “As seen on TV” and I will dial the 1-800 number to order, and you assured me that I was special Only to find regret in the morning for ordering “set it and forget it” device, but finding myself doing it again at night. You are my companion on sleepless nights, I will turn you on and you are there, you are always there.

Unfortunately, it is not like that anymore. We don’t feel the same way for each other anymore. You keep giving me bundle deals to be together and make me forget. Only to be surprised the year after the price I have to pay. I’m doing this now because I don’t want to forget again, I want to remember.

And to be honest, yes there is someone else, and I know you know it. You even added Youtube, Pluto, Netflix and other services on your menu’s. So I know you knew, you are alright with these other relationship as long as I stay in ours. Well I had enough, I found myself watching them more but I still paying for our relationship. And now the bundle expired and I remember, oh yeah I remember.

It’s time for us to part ways, but not totally we can still be friends. I still need Internet access..
