I was enjoying watching our local channels, Good Day Philadelphia using Locast on the morning of September 1 when suddenly the TV froze.

As what happened before, I though it must be the internet connections which from experience all I need to do was wait for few minutes. But then nothing, so I do what I usually do if waiting is not working and that is to get out of the Locast app and open the app back again.

But this time, when I loaded the locast app, there a message that they are suspending operations because of the court order that was handed against them.

What ??? Locast has been my go to channel for local news and sports. I’ve tried digital antennas but I could only get a few channels and some of them are fuzzy.

What should I do now, specially that NFL football is starting, last year although there’s football it did not really bother me if I can’t watch . Maybe because of the start and surge of COVID, but this year seems to be starting to get normal. Although we are far from this pandemic being over, but It feels like I can watch football again.

The Opening Sunday , Sept. 18, I’ve tried the 7 day trial of Hulu + Live TV and was able to watch my Philadelphia Eagles beat Atlanta Falcons.

I’m still hunting around for best Streaming with Live TV, so I did not continue with the Hulu+ Live TV.

This week , I’m Trying the $10 first month promo from Sling Streaming Service , Sling has Orange and Blue package with $10 first month promo and then $35 for succeeding months. I’ve chosen Blue since I think it have the channels that I would be watching.

This will give me a month to think, If I’ll stay or try other Streaming services.

Cutting the cord is not easy, but one thing for sure that I’m not missing is being stuck with one or two years contract.
